In With Some New...

Well, close to the end of 2011, I started wanting to try some new things.  Some of the old doesn't seem to suit me anymore.  Perhaps they were reflective of a different time, a different place, even a different mindset.

Whatever the case, I feel it is time for an upgrade.

Not on the expensive side, though.  I'm not rolling in dough, or I don't have nearly as much extra ends as I used to have.

And when I did have the ends, I couldn't enjoy them, or I spent more time making sure others were happy and taken care of than myself.

But I want to start doing for me.  I want to start doing for me and not feeling guilty for it.  Or agonizing for hours before deciding on a purchase, or in most cases, walking away from the purchase.  Or buying it and then returning it.

Even if it is something like my indulging in a couple of chocolate covered strawberries.

Or having that pint of Haagen Dazs (if it's misspelled, I apologize).

I don't want to have to spend a lot of money on it, either.

Like if I find a bag or some shoes half off or something...why not?

Or a decent sale on some clothes.  I rarely do either.

So I've been doing little stuff.

Like just before the holidays, I purchased my first pair of really high heels from this site called Just Fab.  Normally, the shoes are already a good deal at under $40, but since I'm a first time customer, I got my first pair for half off.

Then, just recently, I saw some shoes on discount from this site called Ashro.  I do like their outfits, particularly their Afrocentric prints, but they can run a little pricey.

However, they had a pretty good sale on some shoes so I ordered a couple.

Plus, I saw a funky purse that could coordinate with the shoes for $14.

I'm going to try to coordinate some of my old with my newly acquired items.

However, my wardrobe has not been upgraded in many years, and I think it is about time it does, so I will probably begin that process starting next week.

Besides, it will free up some room for some new things.

Will keep you posted.

One.
