Precipice (inspired by Legacy-Power of 10)

This entry is part of The Power of 10 Poetic Exercise.  The words in bold are the words that Legacy selected for me to use as part of the poem.

I stand on the precipice
Tittering between the Comfortable and the Unfamiliar
I have dealt with this Struggle before
My Mind only wants to deal with the concrete
While my Heart stays the enthusiastic optimist
Lapping up the liquid of Hope
Invigorated by Faith
Yet it’s a challenge to keep myself immune
From Doubt’s erosion
Prosperity of mishaps more anticipatory than surprise,
And I do remind myself
There’s Clarity in the Loss
There are lessons in the pain
Providing renewed vision to ensure optimum stability
Yet the rockiness still remains…
Am I wrong to yearn
But at the same time feel weary
Of continuing this race
To truly embrace
